Symptoms
Alzheimer disease affects all aspects of a person’s life – thoughts, emotions, behaviours.
The most common, and usually the first symptom, is loss of memory. While memory loss may be slight at first, it quickly becomes obvious that the problem is much more than the usual small memory lapses.
Other symptoms include: problems holding and understanding a conversation (aphasia), difficulty accomplishing daily tasks, as well changes in mood, behaviour, etc.
