13th Prestige Wine Tasting Event
On April 30, 2008, nearly 330 people assembled in the Perspective 235 room at the Montréal Science Centre for the Mental Illness Foundation’s 13th Prestige Wine Tasting Event. During the evening hosted by wine commentator Denis Marsan, Director of Product Development and Research at the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ), wine lovers were introduced to the very rare Château Pontet-Canet 2000, Pauillac, Grand Cru Classé. Presided over by honorary co-chair Dr. Mylène Bédard, psychiatrist at the Hôpital Charles LeMoyne, and Jean Brosseau, Vice-President, Fédération des caisses Desjardins, the wine tasting and auctions helped the Mental Illness Foundation raise $139,000 to be put toward its programs and services.
