More than $110,000 for the support of the Mental Illness Foundation cause

The Mental Illness Foundation is proud to announce that it raised $110,000 on its 14th Prestige Wine Tasting held on April 29 at the Perspective Room 2350 of the Montreal Science Centre. Generosity was at the rendez-vous through these difficult economic times to support the efforts made by the Mental Illness Foundation in the prevention of mental illness amongst teens, workers and seniors.

The participants of the 2009 edition, commented by one of Quebec’s finest wine expert, Denis Marsan, Director – Research and Development, Signature Service of the Société des alcools du Québec, discovered delectable wines from some of France and Italy’s greatest producers. Under the honorary presidency of Mr. Philippe Duval, Chief Executive Officer of the Société des alcools du Québec, some 250 guests had the privilege of tasting an Ornellaia 1998, Bolgheri and to acquire all these great wines during the live and silent auctions.

The Foundation wishes to warmly thank the participants and sponsors of this evening, especially the Société des alcools du Québec and Power Corporation of Canada for their support to the cause of mental illness.
